HEROES' MOVEMENT
At StrengthMobility, we believe in creating a community that extends beyond the walls of our gym. One of the ways we fulfill this mission is through our proud affiliation with Heroes' Movement, an outstanding non-profit organization dedicated to empowering U.S. Veterans and helping them regain their strength, both physically and emotionally.
Heroes' Movement, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, serves a vital role in the lives of our nation's heroes by providing free small group strength and conditioning workouts for any U.S. Veteran. It beautifully bridges the gap from therapy—whether mental or physical—to attaining renewed strength and wellbeing.
In April alone, Heroes' Movement was able to provide services to over 400 veterans and sponsor over 2,000 strength and conditioning sessions. As of 2023, they've facilitated an impressive 8,746 sessions, testament to their unwavering commitment to those who've served.
Coming from the military, many veterans find transitioning back to civilian life to be challenging. Some bear visible wounds while others carry scars unseen but deeply felt. Heroes' Movement is there for them, lending support not just physically, but emotionally, helping to rebuild interpersonal connections, and fostering an inclusive environment that nurtures their spirits.
At StrengthMobility, we see firsthand the importance of camaraderie and shared experiences. This is something that veterans often miss from their time in service. The Heroes' Movement offers them an opportunity to connect with fellow veterans also striving to rebuild their bodies and minds, further cultivating that sense of community and mutual support.
The values of Heroes' Movement align seamlessly with our own: a belief in the priority of Veterans' needs and a commitment to maintaining the privacy of Veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress (PTS). Their strength and conditioning programs are inclusive, designed to meet the needs of veterans at various fitness levels, and those on a journey to regain their strength post-injury.
By partnering with Heroes' Movement, we at StrengthMobility reaffirm our commitment to serve our community and stand in support of our Veterans. We are proud to work with an organization that echoes our belief in reducing dependency on prescription drugs, mitigating suicide risks, and bridging the gap from physical therapy to feeling strong again.
We are privileged to be a part of this nationwide network of gyms, contributing our part to the collective mission. We salute the team at Heroes' Movement - Mike McKay (Founder), Marcus Meinhold (Treasurer), and Kevin Denton (Secretary) for their tireless work and dedication.
Whether you're a veteran looking for a supportive community or an individual who believes in the cause, we invite you to join us and be part of the Hero Movement.
